Race Relations- Equity
Do you believe that people should be treated differently in our school based on the color of their skin??
How exactly do you define race?
Is it by the color of your skin?
How would you describe social justice?
Do you believe that people who disagree with the “social justice” policies you support are advocates of injustice?
What does “systemic racism” mean to you?
Are you comfortable with the idea that anything and everything founded by white people or upon white ideals should be destroyed or dismantled?
What do you think the eventual impact will be on children who will have spent years involved in activities teaching them that they are inherently bad – or disadvantaged – because of the color of their skin?
How has equity positively impacted student achievement and test scores?
Has restorative justice or restorative practices in our disciplinary system improved student conduct?
Do you believe equity to be discrimination? Why or why not?
Are you comfortable with the idea that the nuclear family and Judeo Christian values are slowly being eroded?
How do you feel about teachers being forced to take equity training or cultural competency training?
Do you know what questions were asked of them or what consequences they have if not passed?
What is the procedure for communicating and interacting with the community for both you and the Superintendent?
Will you disclose publicly how much money our district and school are spending on new race, gender, and “social justice” initiatives?
How much is being spent on teacher training programs, DEI consultants, etc
Do you consider equity-driven curriculum neutral, balanced and/or unbiased?
Do you believe equity of outcomes in education is attainable without discrimination? If so, how?
Do you think moments of silence for George Floyd are appropriate?
Or having Black Lives Matters week during Black History month? What does equity look like as a policy?
Do you believe that you have implicit bias that you do not know about?
Do you believe that your microaggressions cause racial trauma on others and destroy black joy?
What does “Culturally Competent” mean to you?
Do you believe that people of color have only succeeded in life, Barack Obama, Oprah, Winsome Sears, Dr. Ben Carson, Thomas Sowell, etc. to further systemic racism and the advancement of whites?
Can you define in specifics what Social Justice is?
Do you believe that people who don’t agree with Social Justice policies are advocates of injustice?
What research can you show that equity had given anyone in this county a better education or chance in life at succeeding?
Do you hold teachers accountable who teach the tenets of Critical Race theory since this county has denounced it?
How do you think biracial children view themselves after being in school all day and then going home to one white parent and one black parent?
Have you considered what that does to their identity or the loving home they are raised in?
