Parental Toolkit

There are more ways to educate yourself on what is going on in public education than there has ever been before- the #1 problem is transparency and the expectation that parents and the communities paying for this “fed.ed” know, first what to look for and second where to start. Fed.ed now includes the majority of private schools and higher education after the ARP funds were handed out last year.

There are separate sections for Knowing your Rights and How to Get Educated on the BIG ISSUES (Critical Race theory, Diversity/Equity/and Inclusion, Social and Emotional Learning, Comprehensive Sex Ed, ESSER grants, Common Core, etc) because they are ALL symptoms of the same disease that has finally made itself known after festering for over thirty years. This toolkit should serve as a basic guide on what you do after you have jumped in and started to understand the state of the education system.

Curriculum, terminology, following the money, “the books” in schools, the Public and Global interference and funding, data, safety, etc are areas that will benefit everyone- no matter what your school choice or lack of choice has been up until now. Knowing your rights is different once you involve paying for private education, but if pulling your child out was not A CHOICE, as are most of the cases we have seen in the last year especially, knowing exactly how your rights were violated which led you to this forced choice is equally as important since you were pushed into taking action no parent is usually financially equipped to make.

There are ALOT of resources, many will be linked in the text throughout the site and there will be separate places for resource web links and pdfs as well as sample resolutions, letters, opt-out forms, etc.

Links to report issues with curriculum, the law, teachers, etc. as well as complaint forms and contacts will be provided in numerous areas-accountability is one of the most basic places we can start, so PLEASE USE THEM!
